Course syllabus

    LM-2403 mandarin level 2, a sequential course to LM-1403,consists of two sessions on a weekly basis. In this module, students will begin to learn writing Chinese script---- Chinese characters, which is very essential to Chinese learning.  In addition, this module will cover a wide range of topics as follows:

-- seeing the doctor

-- renting an apartment

-- talking about festivals

-- exchanging currency

-- talking about travel experiences

-- returning a book and applying for a library card

-- buying clothes

-- mailing package 

      The upper beginners' and the intermediate grammar will be taught in this module:

--optative verbs

--sentences with serial verb phrases

--sentences with double objects

--the particle "了"

--the complement of state

--the 把 sentence

--the time-measure complement

--the simple directional complement
